Collaborate with the design-build company’s existing architectural plans to elevate the space through curated interior material selections and furnishings.
This Equine Sports Barn project reimagined a 40-year-old barn into a modern, 17,200 sq. ft. equine facility. Designed to accommodate both elite jumper horses and their dedicated caretakers, the renovation included multiple stalls, wash bays, grooming stalls, a dog wash, a tack room, office spaces, and on-site apartments to house the horse staff.
We designed each space with the utmost focus on functionality and beauty. The Tack Room, a dedicated area for organizing and storing essential riding and care equipment, was designed to be grand in both its aesthetic and its purpose. In the apartment level, we focused on providing comfort for the hardworking horse staff. They work tirelessly around the clock caring for these beautiful horses, so we wanted to ensure they have a peaceful and restful space to retreat to at the end of their demanding days.
This thoughtfully crafted facility blends luxury with practicality, offering the highest level of care for the horses and a welcoming, comfortable environment for their dedicated caretakers.
For this project we collaborated with Denhym Blythe. We oversaw the design process on the owner's behalf, stepping in to make important design decisions and advocate for their vision when they could not be present. We were hired to ensure the owner's wishes were fully represented and carried out throughout the entire design process.
